Swings for Solidarity: The Princess of Monaco Cup Returns

Picture a golf ball soaring with the Monte Carlo Casino as its backdrop, the Mediterranean Sea as a witness, and Monégasque elegance embracing every swing. This scene becomes a reality every two years, thanks to the Princess of Monaco Cup, which is returning on September 15th and 16th for its fourth edition. We are honoured to be a part of the organizing team for this prestigious event.

The Monte-Carlo Golf Club is preparing to welcome eighteen four-player teams, each including a celebrity, in a tournament that has become a benchmark for charity events. Organized by the Princess Charlene Foundation, with support from JustUnlimited, this biennial tradition masterfully combines high-level sport with social purpose.

The “Scramble” format is a strategic choice, allowing teams of different skill levels to compete on equal terms. Each team can play from the position of any member’s best ball, creating a dynamic atmosphere where strategy blends with fun. This format has enabled figures like Charles Leclerc, Monaco’s Formula 1 driver, to share the green with enthusiasts, creating unique moments of camaraderie.

The true highlight of the event is the finale. The 19th hole, specially set up at the iconic Place du Casino, offering participants the unique opportunity to make their most important swing in front of the legendary casino. This symbolic shot is not just a sporting challenge; it’s an experience that momentarily transforms the heart of Monte-Carlo into an exclusive golf stage.

The day culminates with a private celebration in the gardens, where participants enjoy an exclusive evening after competing on one of the world’s most prestigious courses. This combination of sporting competition and social celebration truly defines the event’s unique character.

The numbers speak for themselves when it comes to the initiative’s impact. The inaugural 2019 edition raised over €330,000, which was used for concrete projects such as the renovation of the Princess Charlene municipal pool in La Turbie and a five-year educational program in Ghana. These results prove that behind the glamour lies a genuine commitment to social transformation.

Monaco Asset Management continues as the main sponsor of an event that demonstrates how golf can serve as a platform for social change. The Princess of Monaco Cup doesn’t just offer a luxury golf experience; it materializes the Princess Charlene Foundation’s vision of using sport as a powerful tool for social good.
